Heh, I just threw that out there, didn't think anyone would bite.  Make it a 0-1 upgrade for your blitzkrieg objective like you said.  If you did that you could also do away with stats altogether and say that it has a one shot deathstrike that can only fire when it is not contested or held by th enemy.

You could also work some special victory points in there for the close games:

The enemy gets half of the upgrade cost if they control it or it didn't fire.

The enemy gets all of the upgrade cost if control and it didn't fire.

I'm going to go slightly against consensus here, the DK will be getting a modified version of this proposal (A single Deathstrike silo with slow firing).

I'm not too hot on the idea of missile silos. A war would have swung heavily against the DKoK before an enemy would get even close to missile silos. There's simply no point in placing ICBM silos anywhere near a frotline if it can be avoided.

I also find the idea of mobile Deathstrikes a bit silly. However I've always accepted it as a tactical missile platform ratehr than a strategic one. However a tactical static missile silo seems a bit odd to me at least.

Granted: A hard pressed army may find that the enemy has penetrated far enough into it's territory for the silos to be exposed. However that would mean that the army would be on the defensive.

The way I understood your intentions for the Death Korps was that it'd be an offensive Siege army (Siegebreaker) where the Baran Siegemasters list was the static/defensive Siege army.
The concept of mobile infantry and lots of armor just doesn't quite sit right with me if you add silos to the equation.

I think it would be fine.  It isn't any sillier than half the other stuff in the game.

I think making it an objective would be a mistake.  Leave it as an immobile unit, don't make it fearless (forces you to protect it or lose it), slow firing sounds good, and like any other good War Engine it needs a Critical.  Big missle silo going critical... Hmmm, perhaps anything within 15cm radius is struck on a MW4+.  That'll be fun! :D
