From what I've read here on the main IG review thread and on the SG forum the 1-2 @ 25 pts seems to be the consensus.  But that doesn't mean we can't let someone speak up on the issue.  If anything maybe we can get a bunch of "One time my snipers..." stories together.

Personally, I think they are great as is.  1-2 @ 25 pts though would make them more flexible list wise, so I'm all for it.  I don't think any other changes are really needed.  I've had them take out Commanders and Nobz with no problem at all, they always make their cost back in kills for me.

I hate facing anything with sniper when I'm fielding Tyranids...

But I loves using them when I'm not!  *laugh*

The 1-2 at 25pts each is fine to use the last 25pts in lists.
But Snipers still uneffective for their cost (look Ogryns, at the same cost !). So Snipers NEED something more (but what ?)

I don't thinking comparing them to Ogryns works, I think they are under priced as is.  I've never had an issue of snipers making their cost back in kills for me.  How are you using them?

Snipers are great for things much different from Ogryn; you can kill character stands or fearless units, add in a crossfire and it's almost an AP MW!  *laugh*

As well, since the sniper is in the unit's notes, they can "snipe" in an assault as well, especially good in a supporting fire role.  Plus, they're scouts so you can string them out a bit to teleport denial.

I wish I could take more!  *laugh*

Remember 1 sniper has two advantages - fill the 'odd' 25 points left and get yourself a roomy chimera.

Snipers are good, and 1-2 with 25pts each they are more used.

the single sniper wouldn't need a chimera in a RHQ or Mech CO. as there would be room in the commanders chimera.

I actually proxy Ogryns for snipers and Ratlings for Ogryns.
