Hey Guys,

I was going through the graphical list and updating it this weekend (still working on it) - and I noticed a few things I wanted to bring back to discuss.

In company upgrades - we have fire support and mortar platoons, but both are only options for the regimental HQ?  Seems to me that Mortar teams should be available to all drop troop companies - and fire support should be a regimental HQ only option?

Also, why are we breaking mortar teams up into a 0-2 option, my preference would be to just have them be a standard you get two mortar teams for 100 points, not a 0-2 option?

Also - why did we finally decide that Lightnings come in units of three versus two?  Is it because that's the way the forgeworld models come?  Seems most flights fly in a leader/wingman formation - and flights of three wouldn't allow that?  Flights of four would allow you to seperate into to units of leader/wingman type formations?  Just curios (I updated to reflect three, but wanted to bring this back to the table).  

By the way - has anyone had any more chances to play test the list, haven't seen much reporting back on the list as of late?

Also, I left both versions of the drop Sentinel in, the difference being the HB version has a range of 30 cm, an no MW capabilities - trades range for less power?

If you look at the IA3, these teams are only assigned at the company level. So, we are starting with them at the RHQ to see how they behave in testing. That doesn't mean that we won't decide to move them down to each company at a later date, but because they are a new type of unit, I'd like to leave them where they are at for now. The same goes for the Support sections.

0-2 allows someone to do something with an extra 50 points if they need to.

The formations were set at three to provide some sustainabilty as they are the heavy firepower and AA assets that help keep the Elysians moving. If you cut them down to two units then they become unnecessarily vulnerable and since there aren't other assets to rely on for heavy hitting, then you leave the ground forces unnecessarily vulnerable. I have not seen this to be a problem in my games to date.

You may have missed this discussion (although I thought you were a part of it). Basically, the HB version was dropped as it was felt that if one wasn't going to take the MW, then the Support Sentinel was better than the HB version. So, the HB version was dropped.

Thanks for the response.  I'm cool with everything, I think the Sentinel thing just slipped my mind, I will correct.

On the note of the 0-2 - I thought that is kind of the place of the hardned veterans being 0-2, I still feel the mortar teams should be a 0 or 2 option, either you take them or you don't - personally I don't think I would ever take just one - two BP's are better than just the one?
