Turn 1
*BAMF* The Terminators show up right beside the Hydras and the Shadowsword.
Strategy Roll: Marines
Predator 2 advances, just getting their weapons into range of the Vultures? who fire two Hellstrikes at them, destroying 1 Predator. The Vultures drop back down out of line of sight, and the Marines tanks have no targets.
The Terminators, however, have some very tempting ones, and without the fear of overwatch fire, they engage the intermingled Hydras and Shadowsword. (I really didn't want to fire the Vulture's overwatch at the Preds, but the Annihilators had so much AT firepower, I was pretty sure they'd break them and I'd be out any fire? I really should've fire everything I had at the Preds? *laugh* Live and learn!)
The elite Marines tear apart the three Hydras and do 1DC damage to the Shadowsword which manages to grind one of the Terminators down before if flees.
Shaken by the arrival of the Terminators, the Infantry Company tries to sustain fire, but fails and just puts a Blast marker on the Terminators.
Predator 3 advances to just outside 30cm of the Stormtroopers and blasts 3 Valkyries into twisted wreckage.
The Stormtroopers hesitate, but the Imperial Supreme Commander gets them to double into cover against Predator 2, but they score no hits.
The Vindicators advance on the Stormtroopers and blast away three of them, including the Commissar, and they fall back towards their own lines.
The Thunderbolts fly right down their table edge, strafing the Terminators, taking one out, and breaking them.
The Thunderhawk flies low down the road to bomb Rough Rider 2, killing three, and breaking them as well.
In an act of insanity, Rough Rider 1 engages the Vindicators and Predator 2 in a clipping assault? that goes very badly as only the Commissar survives to fall back warning that Marine tanks on a road can *all* counter-charge 10cm!
Predator 1 doubles to fire on the Vultures, dropping two and breaking them.
The Tank Company gets bogged down, holding its ground to fire on the nearby Terminators. They score five hits, but the tough Marine armour stops them all.
Land Raider HQ doubles to fire on the broken Stormtroopers and takes out 2 Stormtroopers and the last Valkyrie.
The Regimental HQ mounts up to double and fire on the Raider HQ, but does no damage.
Land Raider Detachment 1 doubles and fires on the Regimental HQ and cripples 4 Chimeras?
End of Turn:
The Thunderhawk gets 1 Blast marker flying off into enemy territory, while the Thunderbolts get away safely.
All Marine formations rally.
Rough Rider 2, the Shadowsword, the Stormtroopers, and the Vultures all remain broken, with the Vultures flitting over to the Marine Blitz. As well, the Reg HQ fails to rally and keeps its 5 Blast markers?
