I'm planning on trying out Minigeddon (1000 Points) with my Space Marines Codex Astartes and thought I would see what kind of lists would be good to use. I have not played yet so don't know for sure what to include.

My ideas on what looks good to me are:

Option 1
Tacticals + 2 Dreadnoughts
Predators + Hunter
Whirlwinds

Option 2
Tactical
Tactical
Predators
Land Speeders


Both are exactly 1000 points.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

First one is too slow for minigeddon and 3 activations is very risk. Second one all the way.

Good points about the whirlwinds. I'll have to see if I can find my war hounds and get them painted. I really like the look of the predators but understand they may not be the best option for this.

I've got to re-read the rules and then I will be able to test these out against some orks.

maybe consider a terminator formation teleporting in - its worked for me several times in Minigeddon...

It seems odd that you can take teleporting units, but not planetfall and drop pod units. But might be a good option.

get the timing & target right and termies can win u the game with one activation...

Minigeddon is not "official" in any way. If you and your gaming buddies think planetfall is okay in minigeddon then go for it. Same applies to aircraft and other restrictions.

It's just for teaching EA, for newbie players -however it's flexibld, and indcredible fast! Try to use the FREE rhinos, to get a unit number boost..
