Hi, I was thinking of starting a Blood Angels force, just thought I'd check here first on people's opinion as to using the Epic UK list versus the NetEA list that Evil&Chaos has done. Evil&Chaos list is very nice in that it fits the background better, with Devastators, no Imperial allies and Frenzied giving it more more of a Blood Angels 'feel'. Apart from the missing warhounds and Thunderbolts though, it does look significantly better than the standard Blood Angels list and maybe even the standard Codex Astartes list. Has this list generally seen playtesting and what are veteran marine players thoughts on it? I'm looking to do a real 'get stuck in' list with lots of drop pods/thunderhawks/Stormravens and would just be interested in people's thoughts before I use one list or the other to base the army round. Cheers ![]() |

I think it's pretty fun and fluffy list. I've played only 3 games so far with it so far but first impressions are good. My only complaints are -death company needs to scale with the force size. Its going to be harder to balance that (6 strong frenzy formation with inspiring character is nasty) -thunderhawk transporter should be in the list. That is exactly why the BA can deep strike land raiders in 40k. minor quibbles that in no way detract from the enjoyment ![]() I've got an air drop list posted that I'm playing with right now and intend to come up with an armor heavy version as well |

Thanks jimmyzimms, Glad to hear it's considered more of a 'fluffy' list than an overly powerful one, its does look the more fun to play ![]() I think just limiting yourself at 4 Death Company would probably be the way to stop it becoming overly strong. I agree on the Transporters, but I think Stormravens and Landing craft both look good ways of getting Dreadnoughts/armor into the fight. Had a look at your Airdrop list, looks fun, maybe take some of the feedback you've got in mind when coming up with my own. Cheers. |
