Just to be clear: would these changes be part of the new Army Book or not? |

I think that would depend entirely on how many more months it is until the Army Book comes out... |

8 months late and no accountability - but hey, it's volunteer work - that excuse kinda gets old however. Well with only 4 months now to the year's end, I say what is another 4 months? At this stage, I would rather ACs and the like place in their changes for a Jan 2012 release. That is what I am wanting to do (and has been the plan) for any of the lists I am responsible for. There is no point releasing something now when there are changes ready to be placed in and tested within the next 3 months. |

4 months is plenty of time to test for the 2012 book |

Obviously not! All the preliminary discussions here are way to early to make it to being finished - I would expect a good 6+ months of heavy playtesting before we would want to include it in the next version of the army book (or the first army book if that's still not done by then). If the army book is ready tomorrow it should definitely be published then - we desperately need the damned thing ASAP! (years ago ideally). While having it renew at the start of the calendar year is an easy to remember date it doesn't really matter at all. We could have the book reviewed one year following when it goes out, or the January following after that. |

IMO the past months, year, or even longer would show that this is not true. I do not believe that interest in Epic:A (NetERC) could be at a lower state than now so really - what is another 4 months? |

Yes, but I think the lack of the army book is a very large cause of that! Once we (fingers crossed) get the army book we can publicise and advertise it through many various ways online. Having one simple, easy to look through, document to point new players to could help introduce new (and old) players to Epic and the lists here. I could potentially see it helping boost numbers and a resurgence in playtesting myself. |

In terms of the SM list I can't see a big issue with keeping any upcoming changes for the following year's update the book . You could keep what we have already and any proposals I'm looking at will have a further year for playtesting. Like I've said, I'm in no rush to sort this out. That said, I do see that new adoptions would be ideally placed in the 2012 edition so people can use the list in tournies in 2012. |

What is an army book? (Serious question... I've been using the EpicUK lists because my friends and I actually know where to find them.) |

The army book is the intended collection of the various NetEA lists. Since there are a lot of lists, and some of them are a pain to find, it's been taking a while. That said, it should actually be out pretty soon. I hope. |

Basically its a Worldwide version of the EUK lists based on this site. Most, if not all, list development here are NetEA Lists. The NetEA has been wokring on organizing a PDF/Website like the EUK we've just been a little slow on the draw (I know there will be slow commets ![]() Btw plan on coming down South anytime soon to play? |
