This poll is obviously not binding on anyone, but I'm curious what the actual levels of support are in each direction.

And polls are more fun than discussions anyway.

True. But they're pretty good ways of establishing what people think generally and how many people think particular things.

For example, we can see that no one is evidently happy with the current state of ATSKNF. Thus, it would seem politic to discuss further what to do with it, rather than, say, claiming that changes to it would be too wide-sweeping for current contemplation.

And, to be quite frank, it's nice to have some numbers to point at to try and get you to discuss changes.

I think exactly opposite. I don't like polls and think they are bad way of deciding things :).

Votes get a lot more participants than debates (Which you seem to regard negatively too, anyway), and don't have the disadvantage of the most prolific posters being heard the most.

I want to see why people think why they do. Thus I don't really look or care about polls as they don't have this information.

I think that anyone who's adult enough to be interested in Epic, is also adult enough to vote responsibly.

Some people just don't like to engage in the kind of cyclical debates that we get here on TacComms.

It seems like the discussion going on here is more about polls vs. comments rather than the topic at hand. :P

Anyways, I voted for minimum of one since that's how my LGS plays it and it's worked fine for us so far. That being said, I do like the sound of just having it round up rather than down, though I'll need to try it out before I'm sold on that option totally.

There's not enough one way or the other to make a final decision without further discussion, anyway.

Especially since the third option's voters could jump either way if you removed that option, and that still wouldn't be enough to create a clear majority for either.

Except these polls (mostly) have the context of prolonged debates on the subject beforehand.

So the voters are informed, and are making decisions in that context.

Furthermore, if 80% of people voting think that the ATSKNF rule needs to be changed somehow, maybe it should be discussed further, as opposed to you saying that it would be too big a change...

Polls may not present the whole picture, but they should not be ignored.

62% in favour of change, but no consensus on what that change should be...

That can be a side effect of a poll.... ;)

Risen to 63% who want change of some sort.

I demand a poll to determine what the 63% of people want as the change! ;)

Looking at those results, that's way too true to be a joke. :P
