Yep, and in the background it then pairs up with any other lone warhound that are around. The result is that there's never more than one lone one.

+25 points won't lead to less warhounds, just to less marines. 0-1 will.

Guys, this debate is rapidly going round in circles and getting nowhere; we are all rehashing what was said earlier.
There are two elements - test them separately

  1. The various formation changes proposed in #1-4
  2. The Warhound change in #5

Lets do them in that order (to see if the changes make Marine AV more desirable or not).

I would rather the removal of the single Warhound rather than accept a 0-1 restriction.

Where are 0-1 restriction is placed in for balance or to force a different play style (let's face it, that is what it is), then it is best to find another way.

As has been said, 2 x 300 point warhound just mean one less chaplain in the army.

I'll test whatever dobbsy decides on in his final "this is what we're going to test" list. I would have gotten In a first test with all of dobbsy's proposed changes last night but traffic made me miss my game. I'm away for the next few weeks so I'll get in some heavy testing when I return.




Zombo: maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, we can see what happens when land raiders and predators are actually worth taking.

If LRs are 300 points then maybe they'll get taken over warhounds. That's the price point needed for me though.

If we could have something in the next few days for a test, I will set up playtesting as early as next week for any proposed changes.

No doubt people may also start to fire up their Vassal engines as well... :P
