Shouldn't halfway to assault (assault w/o jumppacks) and whirlwinds to soften up suit this chapter better? Especially as their speciality is to exchange their bolt guns for bolt pistols.
I'm not sure I understand the THT rule regarding hit allocation.
Three THT gives 6DC and all fails on a critical?
as vytzka has said in 40k BT don't have Whirlwinds or devestators, the fluff gives alot of reasons for this but the one i like is, that why would a BT space marine sit somewere far away from the fight when he could be hacking something to death with his chainsword? and why would he want to soften the targets when if you did that there might be less enemys to hack to bits later?
the THT hit allocation works the same way as any other WE formation and a critial only affects the one it hits.
