What about including Thunderhawk Transporters? AFter all in WH40k the Blood Angels are the only Space Marines with Deep Striking Land Raiders because of this.

That'd be fine with me.

I have a lot of experience with them and they do have a different in-game role to the Landing Craft.

Somewhat. The Blood Angels have a certain degree of drawbacks (for example their special rules, and lack of Titan allies) so it's paid for in that way, rather than through a price increase.

Teach me, oh wise one, for my feeble mind does not register the difference (or please point me to a list that includes Thunderhawk Transporters so I can read about them - though I might still not see the difference then).

Also, I have sent you a PM. Cheers!

I suggest checking out the black Templars list.

I will start responding to PM's again as of Thursday.

Love the list.

I am just wondering if the 4x single shot missiles on the stroravens have proven an issue?

I have played the list twice now with stormravens. Both times I took them as transports for a tac det. The bloodstrikes will pile on the blast markers, but they have yet to break a det alone.

I've used Stormravens in half a dozen games, sometimes mounting up a whole formation and sometimes just adding a single one to give a little ranged punch. I reckon as they're probably absolutely fine.

Blood Angels were taken at Heavy Bolter 2012 and placed 6th out of 8.

Storm Ravens were added to a Scout detachment from memory. You'd have to chat to FattDex about how the list played out.

Basically yes. When you add a Razorback to a formation, by the Marine Transport rule, you can take as many Rhinos as required to transport that formation. So if you had 6 infantry units you require 3 Rhinos but if you add a RB which carries 1 infantry unit then you still require the 3rd rhino to carry the other infantry unit.

The basic Marine transport rule is to add Land Raider upgrades to the formation, then add RBs to the formation (up to the limit of infantry to be transported). If there are any marines left on foot, then add sufficient Rhinos to carry them.

As Dobbsy says, you buy one RB leaving 5 marines on foot, then add three Rhinos to carry them.

For Ben,

Mate, why is a BA Pred A, worth 75? Does it get the extra 5cm movement? If not I can't see why mate you costed it. Can you enlighten me mate, I am looking to give Faddex a hand list building.

Cheers
A

All Blood Angels Rhino-chassis vehicles are meant to have an extra 5cm movement (see the top of the last page - all move 35cm except the Vindicator which moves 30cm).

Curious if there have been any updates to the rule set on the suggestions about the over cost on the Baal preds and the use to thunderhawk transporters. Both are excellent suggestions. Also curious why only Baal preds can be taken as a formation choice.

Hi,

I recently played a few times with BA -last time against Chaos Black Legion (Approved army list). I found out, that Raptors are far better than BA Assault Marines -They have CC/FF: 3+/4+, while assault marines have 3+/5+.

Raptors (4 unit) + Warlord for 175p. Up to +4 units, for 35p = 8 untis with Warlord (+MW CC attack) for 315p.

Assault Marines (6 unit) for 250p, +Assault (2 units) for +75p =325p, without commander.

I know, that they have the "they shall know no fear", but seems unfair for me, that even the Assault Marine specialist Blood Angel army is inferior to the Chaos Raptors!

I think they should be cheaper somehow -for example 225p for the basic 6 units, and +75p for the extra 2 -it will be more balanced, and BA players will use more Assault Marines -as they sholud anyway :)

What do you think of this?
