Hi Dobbsy, this wording for the special rules at the end of your list looks good.

Personally I prefer these rules at the start of the list (to match the E:A style), but I guess that is your choice.
Equally, you might consider these alterations intended both to improve legibility and to fit within the same physical page layout:-
Quote:
In addition, you may choose to replace a detachment’s Rhinos with Drop Pods, and Wolf Guard Terminators may be given Drop Pods. These packs will enter play using the Drop Pod rules for Planetfall (see Main Rule Book section 4.4). Note that if you choose to deploy troops by Drop Pod, you will also require a Space Wolves Strike Cruiser or Battle Barge.

Thanks Ginger, that looks good. When the list goes into Nemesis the special rules will be presented before the list.

I received this feedback for one of our germanplayers:

- Bloodclaws and Longfangs should be Support Packs if you don't want only Fenris Wolves running around the table.
- Fenriswolves should be 200pts and as Hero they should only ave access to Wolf Priests.

He plaxed two games with this changes and now finds the Space Wolves a very "wolfy" and balanced army :D

Hi BL.

He should probably use 2.3.1, BL. Blood Claws and Long Fangs can only be purchased 1 per Great Company in the Hunting packs section. Is there a reason he feels they should be support packs? I ask because if they were they would be spammable. Fenris wolves are no longer spammable in 2.3.1. 0+FF means they are extremely vulnerable when FF'd so 200 points is a bit too much I've found.

Thanks for the feedback BL+ friend ;)

He says:
Fenris Wolves look fine.
He says that especially Blood Claws have to be Support Packs else you would be forced to have several Great Companies which hampers tactical felxibility.
He says if you want 4 Great Companies at 300pts each so you would have points left over for other things. The result would be that the Great Companies would be only used as sacrifical units which isn't fluffy.

(Hey translating is actually more difficult than writing directly in english.... :D )

If Blood Claws were support packs they would be highly spammable due to their lower cost. The Hunting Packs section prevents over-use of key formations. The support area is for formations that fill a more secondary role. The idea is that the Great Companies serve as the backbone of the army. If you build them up they are the mainstay, not the sacrificial formations. Everything else fights around the Great Company not the other way around.

I usually find 3 Great Companies of varying size hold the line well while everything else is free to do what it's there for (CC, FF, Shoot, annoy etc.).

BTW, if you haven't already, thank your friend for giving feedback on the list. It's good to see it's getting more use :)
