A nod to Hena's wording.

On the Landspeeder, I just don't see it surviving re-entry, but then again an exposed Rhino on the underside of a Thunderhawk Transporter seems a bad idea too.

Are we supposed to assume Thunderhawks and Landspeeders very slowly descend through the atmosphere?

IIRC there are supposed to be atmospheric shields which are ejected just before landing.

I remember that too.

@Land Speeders: They are supposed to be carried by Thunderhawks. Land Speeders can be dropped from them on high altitude which enables the Land Speeders a controlled freefall on their targed.
Teleport or Free/Self Planetfall would be an option.
