Yes, I noticed that the Questors will falter in heavy fire, and especially under crossfire. I can't wait to try that again :-)

Hi all,

One year after, and I am back. Since I am playing with my kid brother (well, he's 31 now:D) and we normally are able to get some time off and opportunities around christmas, we've all added one year.

This time, we were playing with 2000 points.

Space Marines consisted of:

2 Tactical formationrons, one with supreme commande.r
1 Devestator formation
1 Biker formation
1 Land Speeder formation
1 Land Raider formation
1 Warhound titan with vulcan mega cannon and plasma cannon.

Chaos:
1 Nurgle Plague Tower
2 Slannesh scout titans in formation
2 formation of cultist
1 formation of beastmen with demoanologist with demons points (some first strike horses, and greater deamon)
1 Hellfire formationron (used to be cannons of khorne)

I dropped using the rules for Space Wolves as i had previously. To cut it short, Space Marines won a overwhelming victory. By the end of round 3, Space Marines had almost all chaos units on fall back orders. Only units left was his right flank of 1 intact cultist formation and one wound on the slannesh scout titan. All other was on fall back orders (routet) and he was unable to rally ANY of his toops.

Lesssons learned:
* Its GOOD to get your enemy units broken.
* Catch Nurgle Plague tower in crossfire with your Land Speeders will give him something to think about, even if you only score a couple of hits, he can still be broken.
* For the marines, the titan was an excellent choice, it gives some MUCH needed firepower with excellent movement and is ont easily suppressed.
* Suppress hellfire cannons as soon as possible, with their macro weapon they can be deadly.
