I've played a game against a Titan Legion army in order to prepare the next tournament in Lyon and we had a question about Monoliths.

Let's imagine a Warlord assaulted by a Monolith... How many FF attacks for the Monolith?

2, the standard one + one because the Warlord is one unit

or

9, the standard one + eight because the Warlord's DC is 8 (so 8 units)

I thought it was the second solution but when 3 Monoliths came into an assault with 3 Warhounds and that I've calculated the number of extra attacks I suddenly thought about cheese... ?:D

It's #2.  Although if you are an attacker you can choose to attack them as intermingled or not.  The opponent should be doing that little math problem in his head and thinking, 'Maybe this isn't such a good idea.'

Remember the Monoliths are in formations of 1, making them really a defensive or support unit.  You can't coordinate them into an assault, so the only time that scenario would take effect is when somebody brainfarts - in which case they deserve to be cheesed. :p

Yes, I understand. In fact, in my example, the 3 Monoliths were supporting a Phalanx.

I was speaking about "cheasy" because you can imagine how effective are Monoliths against huge war engines. I've launched an assault against a Warlord by teleporting 3 monoliths (+1 obelisk each) around it, firing it with heavy destroyers and then launching the assault with a phalanx. I had 20 supporting attacks from the Monolith formations!

Titan Legions will have to fear Necrons! ????

That's a lot to dedicate to a single formation, especially if your opponent just decides to leave the monoliths alone.  Can you imagine?  You have 3 (which is either all or most of your monoliths) in close proximity to each other on the edge of the board.  The rest of your army would be hard pressed to get anywhere decent.

Not to mention the cost.  125+125+125+275 (assuming a single upgrade) = 650 points.  And sadly you probably wouldn't destroy the Warlord, only break it.

I don't know how well your particular assault went but if it went well it was the golden opportunity.

You're right and it was not 650 but nearly 1000 points (with the destroyers). I had only 20 supporting attacks (against 30 possible) because one of the Monolith formations had been demoralised (is that english?).
It was a special situation as the Warlord was the most expensive unit of the army and he was protecting the TL base.
The assault was not a success because of a lot of saves from the Warlord (he staid alive with only CD2) but I managed to destroy it by launching a last but final assault with a second phalanx late in the turn.
