Novice to epic UK. Space marine veteran player but not played for 20 years. List so far (from epic UK list). 1x Tomb complex 75pts 3x infantry phalanx + pariah upgrade 275pts each 3x monolith + monolith upgrade 275pts each 2x pylon 200pts each 1x war barque + Lord 350pts With the last 525pts do I take: Obelisks or destroyers? Flayers, or immortals and ditch the Lord? What is considered the best mix of destroyers and heavy destroyers in a maniple? Thanks |

If you are not taking a C'tan then I would definitely add an Overlord. With the low strategy rating a failed activation can really hurt. I like Destroyers and tend to take 4 heavy and 2 normal. However, I seem to play against more Obelisks than Destroyers. For the rest of the points I tend to beef up a Phalanx to have a greater hitting power. |

MikeT really likes flayed ones and when discussiing them once uttered the immortal line "flayed ones are only 200 points with teleport, and if you don't pay the extra 25 points to add a lord you are literally an idiot" |

Hmm. I hadn't considered taking a C'tan at this points level, but it would be another option for the 300 point slot vs obelisks vs destroyers. How does the C'tan work. C'tan plus Flayers would be quite nasty I imagine. I'm waiting on a GW cairn wraith to use as the NB. If I add immortals to my phalanxes then they would count as my largest unit for the objectives, so I think I'll avoid this option at this points value. Bigger games will be ok as I'll have an orb or an abattoir. Think I'll go with Flayers + Lord, but haven't decided on the 300pt slot yet. I'll get the 3 options all painted up and decide nearer the time. Thanks guys |

Just curious why you chose to play the Epic UK list over the NetEA? (Not a big deal but this is actually the section for NetEA lists/rules). |
