Where's the best place to add the Lord Character? I.e. Warriors, Immortals, Pariahs, elsewhere? Thanks! |

Immortals are better than warriors, Pariahs are a decent choice for them too. |

For me it's Immortals all the way, but I've got a few warrior stands with lords as well in case I field a formation without Immortals. I don't like putting them in Pariahs because they don't have Necron, and my Pariahs always hide in the back anyways. It's sweet using the single stand you automatically get in the end phase to bring back the Immortal stand with the Lord. |

Based on the rule set I have from "Raiders", you can put a Lord with a Warrior Phalanx, Flayed Ones and Destroyers ... so that is where I have mine ... |

The basic warrior formation consists of 6 warriors stands and a lord character. There is no rule that requires that character to go in one of the base units and not the units bought as an upgrade, as long as they're all in the same formation. |

For E-UK we require you to put the lord in the original formation and then add up-grades. An exception to the rule comes with IG Commissars that are added after up-grades and can go in any IG unit. |

I thought there was a rule (perhaps unwritten) that you were not allowed to upgrade an upgrade. I seem to recollect a long discussion on the subject, which revolved around one or two of the newer lists (possibly Black Legion?) that were permitted to break this 'rule' under particular circumstances. |

Since this thread is in the NetEA Necrons forum, it's probably best to stick to NetEA conventions to avoid confusion. |

That came up a couple years back, but no. Upgrades are part of the formation, and characters can be added to ANY unit in a formation. There's no order of operations or restriction unless specifically stated. "Six Necron Warriors and one Necron Lord character" => the character can go anywhere "Eight Chaos Space Marines, one with a Chaos Lord or Sorcerer Lord character" => the character has to go on a Chaos Space marine Space Marine transports would be an example where there's an order of operation (Land Raiders first, then Razorbacks, then Rhinos). |
