Is there any particular reason why the Necrons gets stats for their Scythe class Harvester but not their Cairn class Tombship? Every other army has two ships including a battleship sized craft so why shouldn't the Necrons? |

Noone ever takes spaceships with necrons anyway, so there's no point. |

Why not? If the existing spaceship is so poor no-one ever takes this, shouldn't this be cause to adjust it and/or or drop it's points a bit so that it is an ok option? |

It's not poor, it just isn't needed. There are no planetfalling assets, so that's one of the main uses of spacecraft out the window, and equally bombardment isn't that useful for the necrons, who usually start the game right in the enemy's face anyway. The situation is much like guard, who also never use spacecraft due to the lack of planetfalling assets and their already decent artillery. It isn't objectively poor, it just doesn't fit in with the strategies of the army. |

Hmm seems a bit off to me. The most powerful and feared spaceships of the galaxy never used or not even given in a profile in the races' list?? Blatant list failing surely? Points should be balanced relative to their lists rather than generally shouldn't they? Therefore these ships being made cheaper than other lists might pay for those abilities taking into account they're not as useful for them? Not wanting the spaceships to be a fantastic choice competitively, but be nice to have them as a reasonably ok one to use occasionally and it'd add a little more variety to the list styles. |

Has there been any reference to the fleets giving supporting fire in the fluff? Maybe it's just not the Necron way? Or maybe they use a preliminary bombardment prior to the assault and it's assumed to have already taken place? |

the closest thing I can find regarding their use of craft in an orbital incursion is in reference to the mars incident which seems to have used only light cruiser class vessels. Beyond that all other descriptions that I can find are of battles on tomb worlds or where the necrons just phase in. |

i agree w/ glyng that it does seem to be a waste to have a unit that is never used, but as zombo was alluding to, it would take a serious overhaul in stats or a major point reduction to even consider using one |

And considering it's Battlefleet Gothic abilities it would wrack havoc with enemy aircrafts. |
