Can anyone suggest an existing mini (or something) that I can use as a Monolith?
I suck at building things and I am going to focus on building the other WEs in the list.

Depends how picky you are. I haven't been able to find anything that would work better than a basic pyramid with some bitz on it.
It took a bit, but I finally figured out what the pyramids were in the SG article on proxy armies.
They are from Looney Labs.

In my on-again, off-again bored musings for a Necron army I've figured Command Horizon Centaur tanks for Monoliths. Then again, I'm not too bothered about following GW's atheistic lead too closely.

Monolith or not, put 2 bottom to bottom and stand them on the engine section and they'd make a very interesting piece!
