I would recommend Character status for Destroyer lords.

Here are a few thoughts on structure and concept. I'll address individual stats later:

Catacomb Command Barge - Replacing the unit with the character is pretty awkward, I'd suggest something like:

"Add one Catacomb Command Barge to the Formation. May only be taken if there is an Overlord or Phaeron character in the formation. The Overlord or Phaeron character must be added to the Catacomb Command Barge unit."

Then you can remove the varying degrees of commander, supreme etc from the barge notes, and it'll work a lot smoother I think, and won't force a unit of necrons to vanish. Will need a price bump from free to +25. Shouldn't it be speed 30cm too?

Monolith Phalanx pricing is unclear. It says:

"3-5 Monoliths 275 points, +75 for each extra monolith"

It would be clearer to have:

"3 Monoliths 275 points. Add 1-2 Monoliths for +75 points each."

Doom/Night Scythe: Should these not be 35cm skimmers rather than aircraft?

Typos

Several instances of "manipel" instead of "maniple" (Assassins, Canoptek Wraith, Venator)
Should be Night Scythe not Night Scyte ("3 Night Scytes")

Living Metal isn't in the special rules but is used by several units.

Manipel is correct latin. Maniple is the anglisized version.

And good ideas for monoliths and Command Barge. I will implement them.

Doom/Night Scythe ARE aircrafts. They share the same rules as the two new Dark Eldar aircrafts.

Edit: V0.4 now in the first posting.

Edit 2: Damn. Just noticed that Phase Out with a formation with Ghost Arks will force the player to remove the Ghost Arks if he will use this Warrior Phalanx formation again. Unless i allow Armoured Vehicles to pass a Dolmen Gate.

why a LV? seems like a easy target to snipe out the CH

It's a one model unit. AFAIK Destroyers are modeled two to a base.

So have a lord and a regular destroyer on the base. It's not worth it if it's gonna get AT sniped.

+1

Edit: Never mind I saw that you've changed him to charcter in the latest version. Is the destroyer formation supposed to be only 5 plus character upgrade or is that a typo from when you had the lord as a separate unit?

It's a typo. Should be 6 units.

Edit: Corrected version uploaded.

Looks good so far will try and get a game in using your list over weekend.

Noticed their is no listing for the pylon or tomb stalker, also no Obelisks?

Thank you for trying out this list :)

I only used units mentioned in the current Codex. So no Obelisks. Also no Pylons and Tomb Stalker as these seem to be units who will defend a Tomb World but aren't part of an invasion force.

BL, is that what kind of necron list yours is themed around? (necon invasion force?)

Yes. The Sautekh want to retake their old empire. It isn't a Raiding force like the "official" Necron list this is an all out Invasion force.

Hi

Great list, but how come monoliths and megaliths don't have reinforced armor anymore?
yet canoptec spiders do. is this deliberate or a typo and the spiders should have just thick rear armour like the monoliths and megaliths?
also could the ctan not have reinforced armor? as they are quite tough and are supposed to be harder than a leman russ battle tank which does have reinforced armor.

also im not familiar with the new necron codex so im going to ask anyway... :P :
how come spiders do not have the leader ability to help warriors .etc. to get up again?

There is a typo on the cairn class's transport capacity's sentence.

thanks
ToS

living metal replaces reinforced armour..... IIRC it is a 4+ re-rollable save which works against all non-TK weapons, it gives a non re-rollable 4+ save against TK weapons which are automatically reduced to TK(1)

I may be wrong so check the raiders supplement for the full set of rules

Kyuss is correct, Living Metal is a superior version of Reinforced Armour and replaces it.
