Yeah, I see what you mean. I thougt so too when Flogus explained them to me (they're more his idea than mine, really), but they are actually very easy too use, quite fast and add a lot to the game.

Well, if your intent is to provide a set of house rules for play between familiar opponents, then I could see that.

However, in a tournament situation, anything that takes away playing time because decisions need to be made ( i.e. which guys do I teleport, etc.) would be unpopular.

Think about a match up where an Ork player with lots of units is waiting for a SM or Necron player to make up his mind what to bring on. The Ork player (or anyone with lots of activations) already has a decent amount of mental overhead figuring out what their best moves are without wondering if somebody else is cutting into the playing time.

I bring that up because in a recent tournament I was in as a SM player, I started pre-plotting my OB and drop pods for other games to faciliate speedier start ups. Time was critical and as it turned out, very few games finish within the alloted time as it was.

Just something to think about.

Yep but you usually don't use the better Immortal CC and never use the better Pariahs CC and MW attack (because they are not necrons).

There will not be any room for Immortals because, in any army (not only the Necron one), the first upgrade choice for an assault formation should be an inspiring unit.

And you reasoning is a bit twisted: you're saying "the Pariah is good anyway so let's make it cheaper."

I did not mean that. Remember that we don't use our native language and that my English is not as good as yours. :laugh:

I want to say that upping the cost is not enough to make Immortals matching Pariahs...
The same in French : Il faudrait plus qu'une augmentation du co?t des Pariahs pour rendre les Immortels aussi int?ressants.
