The solution for Epic:A should be sublists. One army list like the current one, another with all the new stuff.

Yeah I agree; if the Necron list is changing that radically (and for the worse if the rumours are true) then it would be better to have two separate lists.

It's a big galaxy... and there is limited time available to test lists and balance them.

TSNO the fact that a fairly successful business model for a certain system might involve 'planned obsolescence' i.e. the creation of 'latest and greatest' armies in an ongoing strategic arms-race. Far be it from me to suggest that Grandma Wendy would be taking hints from Kruschev and Kennedy). But it seems plausible that 'codex creep' is a feature, not a bug.

A 'beneficial feature' for one system is probably still a bug for Epic. Or it may be more fish for an Otter.
