The Abattoir also has a function many overlook on paper... it's a portal.  Having the ability to bring a formation out of that monstrosity can create a 1-2 punch that will take out even the strongest formation.

That'd be the reason why my brother is currently planning how to make an Abbatoir. :D

Since my intention with this thred was to share tactics il post one I discoverd (maby you have to).
I just hope that its legal :)

Anyways, if you have got a phased out necron formation that needs a marshal, dont waste the turn compleatly.
Move out of a monolith close to a enemy formation, retain initiative, assault with monolith(and obelisks)
and use the marshalling phalanx as support.

Maby not the most clever off al moves but its a start so now share my fellow necrons ;)

Ps. sorry f?r me badd englisch Ds.

Weedow, that will work.  Something to consider though:
The experimental assault rules (soon to be the official assault rules) will disallow supporting fire for formations that are destroyed in the initial assault.

Ex.  You move the formation out of the Monolith's portal as a marshall within supporting fire range of an Ork warband.  You retain, and assault with the Monolith and 2 obelisks.  In the process, the monolith and obelisks are destroyed.  In this case you will not be allowed to lend supporting fire.
