Hello All, I just followed a link to epirc-battles.de and saw some pictures in the galleries of Siegemaster inf. They appeared to have gas maks, backpack and bedrolls, and looked nowhere as awful as the regular GW guardsmen. They looked remarkably like FW Death Korp of Kreig. Couls anyone please confirm/deny this for me? or even provide some close ups of them and theit heavy weapons? Thanks. |

Yes they areas you describe - however they are pricy. No infantry heavy weapons though. My models are in UK, but you can see them (and their price) here on the GW online store. |

Yes, I have them, they are DKoK, in my army. Look just like'm. ?As far as heavy weapons, the infantry has none. But if you mean the field guns, they are on the same gun carriage. One, ?looks like the WWII ?German "88" and the other something like a WWI Krupp or Skoda Field Gun. IIRC, G/W US online listings has good pics. ?But I know, IIRC, E&C wanted to see the E:A IG ?Stormtrooper & DKoK side by side. I may have time to do ?pics of all of these, today or tomorrow. Mine are all SIB ...  |

Thats a difficult question and depends totally on your likings. I too have a Siegemaster army and I had to ask myself the same question as I was in the shopping phase for my army. Imo the Siegemasters inf is too costly, but I wanted to have the original rapiers and thudd guns included in the company. I needed 3-4 Companies, which is the mimimum number you need if you want to field a regular Siegemasters army totalling 3K or more. That's a total of 60-80 pounds for the inf alone (and their support rapiers/thudds)  Too much for my taste. I was lucky as I could trade them with a fellow gaming buddy, so we splitted the cost of a SiegemastersComp amd he kept the inf and I the support weapons. I now have the regular Ig infantrie in my Siegemasters army and I am quite happy with them. But i have to admit they are beautiful models! Attached a photo with what you get for your 20 pounds |

Oh Yeah ! I forgot about the Thudd Guns and Rapiers you get in the box ! DOH ! Those are very nice pieces too. They are stowed with my DKoK AFVs. |

Seeing that with ?20 you only get those few things in the box id be inclined to buy one set and then use proxies (EW) for other siege weapons. And basic infantry mixed in with the one from the box... |

There are only two types of support weapon, so you get enough models to make 3 complete Rapiers, and 3 complete Thudd guns. You also get a loader and a radio operator for each of the above. You also get a siege infantry company, and enough character models to make a command stand, or supreme commander stand (Though the supreme commander model is rubbish, I bought an IG character pack to get a decent supreme commander model). |

right...so in the end you are spending quite a bit anyway....i think it all falls into the category of metal models..a the beginning all was metal, then everything became plastic and then some remained and got upgraded in metal...everything in 40k ranges in slowly being rereleased in plastic, now that plastic quality has gone up. I hope they do it to epic too...and i hope they dont pull out what is already platstic (left over from the beginning changes)... oh well |
