Hi all, I'm a big fan of flesh and chestnut washes, and tend to use them in nearly all I do. When I don't end up with a muddy mess I manage to bring about some contrast. Here is an example - not quite Epic scale, although I WILL be using it as Epic terrain - a FW spore chimney, 28mm scale. Here is one of the spikes, in simple yellow and red.

Here's the washed version. Having crisply moulded detail helps, of course, and drybrushing will later add a degree of shading.

Thanks guys. Vermis - no, they're ordinary paints over a white undercoat. One layer only sunburst yellow from GW, and the red is two layers of a nice scarlet from - arrgh, got a mindblock. Will check at home.
