I've got a number of titan conversions planned for my "eventual" chaos army. ?The one Chaos power that is throwing up mental blocks is Tzeentch.

My Warplord will be patterned after the Lord of Change. ?Claws, wings, Tzeentch titan head, & carapace mounted flame weapons. ?Not very original, but couldn't come up w/ anything better.

I may not do a Tzeentch Reaver, but do know I want a pair of Tzeentch scout titans. ?Since the Slaanesh scout titans aren't based on Imperial models, I don't mind deviating wildly (they would be the most mutated after all). ?I've thought about starting w/ 40K Tzeentch Flamers, but just not sure if they will work.

Any ideas?

Are E:40k Eldar revenants too "textured"? ?Not smooth and flowing enough to be Tzeentchian?

How about converting TL era Revenants? Those have smooth lines.

Warhounds with the TSons headdresses from 40K should make good Egyptian/Jackal style Warhounds.  That's my intended conversion (not that I haven't had the  bitz in the box for 2 years now... )

If you run with the Egypitan theme it opens up a world of possibilities.  The entire WFB Tomb Kings range can provide excellent bits.

For the battle titans another option would be to simply convert the entire carapace to resemble Silver Towers/Warp Palaces.  I have a beetleback titan that I converted using the Blood Reaver towers in place of one of the weapon batteries.

On that same titan I used the head from a Doomlord aircraft for the titan head and then used the tail for the titan's tail.  The scale is dead on and as a bonus they have little turrets on them.

Another bits-bash I used was to take the Banelord head and replace the bloodletter cowling with the Tzeentch head.  I used the lower half of a SM backpack from 40K with its zig-zag border and overlapping plates to mimic mechanical feathers coming back from the head over the carapace, sort of like the original bloodletter head did.  The weapons are otherwise unmodified from the Banelord, so it's perfect to go with a Tzeentch Black Legion army.

For a Tzeentch Imperator I used a big obelisk to replace the central structure and tower on the carapace and smaller obelisks surrounding it.  I used the Khemri shoulder pads from Blood Bowl (cheap, scarab shaped bitz, - great resource for Tzeentch converstions) to trim the edges of the carapace.  I also used two Warmaster Undead Liche Kings and mounted them on thrones on the front corners.

Both the Imperator and the Reaver have skinny upper legs that might lend themselves to a skeletal theme (armor on the shin, thigh bone unarmored) that could go with an undead theme.

I've also thought about rather than the Egyptian themed Tzeentch doing Mesoamerican theme.  That opens up a whole new series of possibilities.  The MkII and MkIII Warlord carapaces would lend themselves to a ziggarat (sp?) style, possibly even with altars on top.  The older Warhounds could be done up jaguar style with just new heads.  It would be a big job, but a chainfist could be re-fashioned in the style of the obsidian swords they used.

As usual, I have the reverse problem of yours - tons of conversion ideas and no time to get them done.

I hope that's enough to get some creative juices flowing for you.

WOW!  Thanks, Neal.  That should give me a ton to work with.

I know they seem to have lost favour in the modern Tzeench lexicon, but I always loved the original moon-face Pink/Blue Horrors.  I'd mount the body of one on some Warhound legs, remove the arms and replace with weapons.....ideally the old 40K plastic Chaos ones...conversion beamer and rocket launcher.  You can still get all the classic Horrors from GW I think.

I was actually going to suggest something like this as I, too like the old horrors much more than the current amoebas with mouths.

Another few ideas: bird's claws on the legs, vulture head. Or how about a scout titan with wings?

I don't recall the Knights.

I promise that one of these days soon I will get the digital camera out and go crazy with the pics.

Just browsing around the online merchants and found this from RAFM. I'm not sure how big it is but it might work as a very corrupt warhound carapace.

That's pretty cool.  If it comes with both pieces, that tower would make a good Chaos objective.

I'm not that familiar with 40k, anyone know if the old Flamer would be big enough to form the carapace of a scout titan?

Just about as tall as the classic Warhound, but a bit scraggly. Same size as a spac emarine, more or less, perhaps slightly shorter but thinner.
