Just don't try that with plastic PitFiend! This is where the multi-purpose of simple green shines through.

I'm still greatly disappointed that this thread isn't about real strippers.

I am so tempted here to start a discussion on male strippers. Possibly soaked in simple green/brake fluid.

Here it is called Ajax. (Belgium)

I also used Cillit but had the same result with the brandless, cheapest products too.

Ultra-de-greaser or something if I translate.

Brilliant! - we used to get Ajax over here in the uk (my mum swears by it) but I think it's been rebranded

BTW was anybody else absolutely desperate for there to be another pair of tweasers holding the model down in that video, just me crazy?

Same here.

I was torn by the horrible dilemma : reality told me that he had to hold the camera, but my inner self didn't want to listen.

Not sure if this ones been covered, but MR MUSCLE FOAM oven cleaner works a treat on metal minatures! Gloves are advised as this is nasty stuff and will burn you, I did some 28mm minis in about 40mins,and a tooth brush only METAL for this product i think though.

I guess Easy Off oven cleaner might work as well.

I think any foam oven cleaner would work, the more warning signs on the can the better the job it does ;D
Have also heard surgical alcohol works at stripping minis awell, but not tried that,

I've had one slightly odd experience on an older 28mm figure with Mr muscle oven foam cleaner, I'm not sure if I left it on a little long but it left a marble like patina across the whole model which wouldn't come off.

BTW it cleans up paving stones a treat!

Yes may of left it two long, I just put five 28mm figs in an old pint glass and srayed the foam in, Jingled it about a bit and sprayed a bit more foam in, left for 20 to 25 mins then tipped out and rinsed off, then scrubbed! Then did another session to get rid of the remaining paint.

I have read on the internet that some very old lead figures can turn strange due to lead rot etc when stripping, Im going to try some acetone in a few days its supposed to be awesome but the fumes stink. But will definatly use mr muscle again.

yeah, I meant to type "old lead 28mm figure"

Acetone is ok, I use powerspray as my first choice and acetone mostly just for loosening superglue
