Step-1
Cut sprues for main body and outer edges in sprues are a bit thicker so they fit better.
(I made them 2,5cm long). Then make other end round shaped to resemble engine and form front as triangle. (helps to fit front plates)

Step- 2
For wings I used 0,5mm thick plasticard. Just  use main body to give good size and changing forms gives difference in raiders appearance. ( I made them look similar to each formation).

Step-3
Front plates were also made out of 0,5mm thick plasticard. I made plating in two different sets, but Most of you are so skilled that maybe three would look much better. Also making them to be over another makes them look nice (just thin edges a bit or use thinner plasticard)

Step-4
Tail was made of 1mm plasticard to give it more strength, this is also good part to make raiders differ from each other. Just make your kind of tail and sharpen the edges to give it more DE look. And wing part in tail was 0,5mm plasticard or 1mm with sharpened edges. Also there was made little triangles to resemble drivers helmet.

Step-5
For ravagers side plates (0,5mm) I made little bits to strengthen them.

Step-6
Now it is good time to fix with green stuff all holes and such. Then add crew, for Dark Lance gunner I used ranger model and disintegrator gunner is a guardian. Spikes for their helmets was made of  0,5mm plasticard by making sharp triangles. Also manes were made out of green stuff.
For spikes in raider I used extra spikes that came in 40k warrior box. Drivers arms are thin plasticard bits.
Bases are just 25mm closed round base with 15mm screw through it.

Now just ask if you need help or something. Also sorry for language...
Also more pics are here.

Mate, I think they are great....maybe we're all too stunned to comment.

One suggestion.  The Gunner off the old plastic Vypers would probably make a great driver, and wouldn't be too hard to incorporate into your existing design.  You can then use the rest of the Vyper to make DE jetbikes.

Hard to get, but the old Guardian lascannon dude might go well as a replacement for either of the men.

Looks great!  No complaints or suggestions here, beyond covering most of it in putty.  But that's just me. :;):

Yes, you are right Zap, those old models would fit and look good. Sadly they cost so much nowadays, and I don't have any in my possession...
I put this in my mind and try to get some of those vypers someday.

Thanks guys!!

Corben, how are your nids coming? :D

Er here's a question, could you computer generate a black and white piece plan and then brass etch it? then all you would need to do is make the central pillar and assemble it? Also if you were really good you could brass etch the grid pattern on the running boards and the the holes on the rear spoiler and if you talked to someone with a bit of casting experience you could probably cast the central spine too.

If I got your point right that could be possible to do. But I just don't think I'm having enough spare time just now.
But your idea is good.
