So, it appears I'm building a Salamander force for EA. I had some old, unpainted Thunderhawks lying around to get me off to a quick start.  Lying at the bottom of the same box were a couple of 25-year-old Thunderbolts, which have stood the test of time remarkably well. They actually look a bit better in real life than the photo close up makes it look.

My Salamanders are coming along. Hunters, landspeeders and dreadnoughts from Bradley/Alternative armies. The assault cannon dreadnoughts have become multimelta dreads with a simple conversion that turned out pretty well.

@Sable Wyvern - those Bradley walkers look really good as Dreadnoughts and fit in well with the other minis. The tracked vehicles also. I had a mind to use them as Squad/Demiurg robot walkers, I guess they could function as all kinds of things like that. |

Agreed, those dreads work v well, fit neatly between style of an old RT style dread and a current one. |

The Hunter-proxies from Bradley are nice minis, but I ordered them one or two days before Vanguard released the Skyshield as a stand-alone (instead of the option of converting one from a pack of four whirlwinds), so it's going to be the one Rhino variant not based on a Trojan chassis. No biggie, they still look good. I'm very happy with the walkers, and the load-outs are spot-on for EA dreads. |

Seems I have some painting to do. Three orders all turned up at the same time. Epic stuff from Vanguard, Polyversal stuff from Bradley, and some Vanguard minis I was planning to use with Polyversal, but may end up going into my Minervan force if I end up doing one.
