Has anyone converted the Epic 40k Land Speeders into Typhoons? What did you use for the missile pods?

I always thought about using spare Whirlwind turrets, chopping them in half and glueing them on - but I hate trying to glue things this small.

I've thought about a it a few times but I haven't come to any decent conclusions. Thought about scratch building a rack across the back or removing the nose melta and putting a small missile pod there. Probably the best option would be to replace the wings with a small scratch built pod similar to the forgeworld javelin.

The simplest way to add missile pods to anything at epic scale is to cut a couple of 4mm - 6mm long section of sprue frame and slap them wherever the missile pods are supposed to be .

The sprue frames tend to have a trapezoidal cross section that roughly matches the shape of a missile pod. You can use evergreen or plastruct polystyrene tubing to add additional details, but that really isn’t necessary at this scale.

That would probably work perfect if you replaced the wings on the side with it.

Found them Dave, if you want those. Feel that they may be tricky to mount well. Too small to pin, not big enough to get a good connection.

I used havoc launchers from the petit crabs for my Lamenter E40k typhoons. They felt a little big for my taste.

I would go with the E:A ones or bits from the tank above.
