...and why did I wait so long? This is the kind of "large" scale I can handle. The Elites (which I'm using dual-purpose as both Crusade/Heresy Era Marine proxies and forces native to the Defeat in Detail universe) are an ideal size for just about all purposes. Great level of detail, and vehicles that scale up very properly against the infantry. I'll put up some photos shortly but just wanted to take a minute to gush about how much I like these little fellas. It's not quite the size of 10mm scale, which is just slightly too big for me, but is heftier than the average 6mm force. I dig it. Actually I'm setting it up for Micro Skirmish using the Rogue Planet rules, as soon as my Litko bases arrive. |

Some Characters. Also got gifted a copy of 8th Edition 40K, which looks unusually playable. Lots of potential with this little set - tanks are on the way soon.

The force takes shape: Tank and Artillery Support, a Fire Support team, a Tactical Team, APC and Command Retinue. A few more tactical soldiers are on the block, followed by some Assault troops, then it's on to the OPFOR and get things on the table.
