So I picked up some of the awesome Onslaught Tai proxies and was curious how people had based theirs. They are fairly heavy so they will need something more substantial that wire. Say what you want about plastic vehicles they are a breeze to base. Anyone have any suggestions or examples of their own solutions? |

The Baku APC hull and variants have a block they sit on that is not part of the tank itself, as best I can tell. I’ve been painting it black, then using 25mm round x 3mm bases, texturing with my usual coarse artist’s pumice, and gluing the block down over top of the pumice after painting. To give mine a little more altitude, I added a small strip of sprue under that block to elevate the model a bit more. |

I've used eyelets on a lot of grav vehicles: ![]() You can get a pretty good glue joint by either drilling into the tank to fit their outside diameter, or putting a peg that runs from the tank through the eyelet. You could also do both of those if you're a belt and suspenders kind of guy. |
