Hello all! I have finally managed to put some paint on a favourite painting project of mine: Khorne-worshipping Lost and the Damned. This is what I have managed to assemble and paint so far:

Daemon Prince (with Herald; front and back)

This is a re-basing of a previously painted model with an added Herald built from a Minotaur body, Fleshhound head and Gargoyle wings. The pole-axe is simply plasticard.

Aspiring Champions:

I wanted two champions: one Marine-based and one Traitor Guard-based. For the Guard-based, I wanted to build a mutated Command Group (Commissar, Standard Bearer, Champion and Ogryn). I used Lord Zhufor as inspiration for the other Champion.

I wanted to give them dedicated transports as well. Zhufor has a Sanctified-painted APC, since I use Sanctified-painted Chaos Marines sprinkled throughout the Cultist forces.

I wanted the Champion with the Guard Retinue to be a little flamboyant and ostentatious, so I "pimped" his vehicle with a trophy rack and pelts.

First: Demagogues. I built two "scenes", one of a ritual sacrifice and the other of a dervish summoning ritual.

I have painted 5 covens' worth of models: 3 cultist and 2 mutant. I have strained to keep the signs of mutation into beasts visible througout the entire force, but the mutants are obiously more heavily mutated. Since Cultists have a ranged attack, I have included a heavy weapon on every stand, whereas Mutants have none. Sanctified Marines are "guiding" the forces.

Coven 1: Cultists

Coven 2: Cultists

Coven 3: Cultists - These are not mutated and fight in Sanctified Colours.

For Chaos Hound, I used Flesh Hounds:

For Big Mutants, I used Minotaurs and Ogryns to create big and bigger muties.
Image

For Icon Bearers, I modelled a Mutant and Big Mutant version. The Juggernauts are the Icons.
Image

For Spawns, I used a Warmaster Spawn with a Fleshhound head, a Pendraken 10mm Minotaur, and a Rackham model which I minotaurized.
Image

To explain the better stats of Fire Support, I let Chaos Marines do the shooting.

Next up: Traitor Vehicles

I never liked the idea of Traitors using standard Imperial vehicles, but intend to build the vehicle pool on the concept of equivalences. Thankfully, there are many fun 6mm ranges for this.

For Chimeras, I used DRM Ramjacks (?), and painted them in a standard khaki colour with weird individual markings:

For Hydras, I used an Exodus Wars-model, methinks...

And finally, some based Daemon Engines from the past:

Next up, I am considering Land Transports, a Daemon Pool or Sanctified Aircraft.

Thanks for watching,
Fredmans

Wowza. Great stuff. Big fan of mixing and matching minis in Covens. I followed the same philosophy about the IG elements. Why not do the Redux list instead?

Great stuff!! Now we have a great looking Nurgle force and a great looking khorne force in Sweden! I need to get working on my Tzeentch themed one so we can have a showdown of the gods!

Nice cult you've got there. I remember considering those same guys for Battletech Word of Blake fanatics, never got around to doing it tho.
