I am rather new to to epic, but I have been painting miniatures for quite some time.
I play Flames of War and I have growing German army.
I haven't yet played Epic, but I have alredy bought some stuff. Here I will be posting any stuff releated to Epic.
As I have said, I have started making my projects.
They are:
DKoK
Ork Afrika Korps
Adeptus Astares
I didnt plan to have SM army, but I found nice lot on ebay and I have bought it, so I can trade the stuff and get some usefull for me. Luckily (?) I ended up keeping the army, as I 1) realised doing 2 horde armies at a time isnt the best idea, and 2) I began to like them and I couldnt leave them.
DKoK project:
The main idea is to have playable 3000 points army with some optional stuff. For models I will use miniatures from different companies. Ultimately I want to have full Death Korps amry composed of Vanguard's infantry and Trolls command, but they are very pricey to me. Some of you might alredy know that I am a little freak when it comes to STAHLHELMS (if you dont know what is it, shame on you), so I would also like to have an original WW2 German army.
The main idea now is to buy some winter troops form Heroic & Ros and do 48 infantry stands and 12 cavalry so I can use them as huge DKoK companies. Then, once I save up the money I will do genuine DKoK army using Vanguard's Novan Winter troops. This means I will end up having 2 DKoK-sized IG infatry armies. I want to do H&R figures as Winter WWII Germans with a bit of 40k fluff (they will be usable as Valhallans) and Vanguard's Novans as standard DKoK in its usuall envirooment, dead, WWI-looking ground.
Then once I have both armies done (not going to happen soon) I can use Winter Germans as other IG list like Steel Legion.
Progress:
Participated in Trolls' Vaader campaign in order to get Gorgons (Vaaders) and some other IG vehicles. I will be able to spend 60€ which means I will get 4 Gorgons and some other Vehicles, such as Leman Russes
Ork Afrika Korps (Ork DAK, help me find cool name for it):
I have a lot of Ork infantry, including 26 stormboyz (rokkit boyz) stands, 18 grotz, 30 boyz, 12 nobz, 5 kommandoz and some lootas, bikers and boarboys.
For vehicles, I will convert Pendraken's 10mm WWII German into ork wagons. I would like my army to be based off DAK (Deutsches Afrika Korps) but still have orkish look. That is why I am mostly going to use WWII vehicles instead of GW ones.
Progress:
Started stripping some infantry (luckily all my infantry is unpainted, I bought some more stormboyz form other seller and some stands were painted, but that is not a big deal because they are stormboyz and they wont break easily and I can strip them pretty quickly. I also dont have much to strip only like 7 stands
I also painted one test ork:
It isnt DAK but I couldnt resist painting Feldgrau. I also dont know if I will paint his mouth like this.
Adeptus Astares (Ultramarines):
I chose ultramarines, juts cause they are blue, I like blue.
Progress:
I have a good starting force:

2 Whirlwinds
some bikes
I am stripping the paint atm.
