| I'm curious what people's opinions are on painting black 6mm minis, particularly infantry, although tanks apply as well. Specifically for ulthwe and black legion. Regular colors I do base coat; a wash, and if I'm feeling frisky a highlight but black at that scale is difficult imo. Any thoughts? Let me know what to use and in what order thanks! | |

| I did the black on my Red Corsairs by priming in black, then doing a series of drybrushes, getting progressively lighter P3 Coal Black > P3 Meredius Blue > P3 Frostbite Generally I followed the rule that adding blue to your black highlight colour gives a cold, hard feel, whereas adding green can give a slimy, oily feel here's a shot of a stand of chaos marines with the drybrushing done | |

| For my Ravenwing I did: - Black Basecoat - Thin layer of 50-50 black and GW Fortress Grey covering about 75% of the model - Highlight of GW Fortress Grey | |

| I don't have many infantry examples, but i am currently painting some inf the same style ive been doing tanks: Black -> P3 coal black -> vallejo silver-grey (without washing the brush after the coal) -> vallejo silver-grey -> tiny bit of white (i should probably do more white extremees) very sensative to different lighting: | |

| My biggest suggestion is to pic a base scheme that also contrasts well with the black scheme | |
