For those that are sculpting their own infantry, what do you use for an armature?

I use wires from twist ties (those things that comes with cables and some food wrap) those are thinner.
I use a mix of green stuff and brown stuff but really prefer the toughness of brownstuff.
You can see an armature at the back.
I prefer to sculpt half of the legs and torso let it cure before adding the wires for the arms.

Milliputt standard and milliputt fine but to be honest if I want a scultp doing these days I get an Italian to make it. The excitement of giving your design and getting updates of progress then seeing your design come to life is far more excitement than sculpting my own these days!

My space wars mushroom eared b hunter is a true work of art as are my bat ghouls from this sculpter.

Regards Epic

I used to use the standard sculpting tool sold by GW but the blade gets too big a lot of times.
Lately I've made my own using old (and blunted) x-acto blade and chopstick.

At 6mm the thinner blade and sharper point really helped.
