As far as I've seen seen there are not Riptide minis in 6 mm (only proxies), I decided to create my own that kept the aesthetic coherence with the rest of my army (all no-proxy Tau from Forgewold or similar), here the results. I hope to fully paint them as soon as possible (but I have a lot of minis in queue) These models are only primed and drybrushed for highlight: ![]() ![]() ![]() And here a picture of most of my army awaiting to be painted. |

Wait, did you use a normal 40k sized battlesuit to make the riptide? |

No, it's a cast from a 3D modeled render (I've made some more with with different stances, I'll paint them asap and post some pics, but I have lots of minis waiting to be painted) |

I can't believe what a good resolution you got with the printer! I can't see any obvious striation with them. |

FUD on shapeways is 28 micron. I have access to an ember capable of printing at 10 micron. |

And thanks *snip* – moderated, please keep forum rules on IP in mind. It's great to see Hector's minis for personal use, but this is not the place to buy them. |

very cool designs, the wonders of printers it still amazes me how those magic machines dont drag the layer it just put off when going over again dropping the next layer on. I would love to be able to do this cad stuff but in another way i would end up spending all funds printing my designs off. ![]() |

It might just be good enough for facial features in 6mm lol. As far as I know there isn't a machine that prints better than this. ![]() |
