Hi, just got my hands on my first ever set of shapeways prints - blimey they are pretty ! I think I've just seen the future ! Quick question : how do I need to prep these for paint? It's frosted ultra detail material but I notice some already have a slightly oily shine. Is washing up liquid enough or is something more drastic called for? Cheers. |

Warm water , dish soap and a tooth brush should do it. They do have stuff that will mess up primer sticking to them on them. |

the material is slightly porous, one of my friends recommends spraying them with a very thin coat of varnish to seal them prior to painting |
