It was a good day - kudos to Dave for organizing the rabble (yet again.) We don't tell him because he's so egotistical, but all his hard work is appreciated.

I had a... 8) ...blast...

Thanks for putting it all together, Dave! Was great to meet more Internet denizens, was great to play three awesome games of Epic, it is was great to wind up with a tie with Matt A in one of the toughest, tensest, tightest games of Epic I've ever had the pleasure of playing! Two thirds of each Ork army was destroyed and the tie-breaker points count was less than a 150 point difference... a true tie!

And a big congratulations to to The Coach for his (sneaky Chaos) victory!

Someone that may look like me and sound like me perhaps insinuated at some point that "The Ocho" was well-organized and great fun. I deny ever having said that, however :P

Perhaps the funniest moment for me was on the Friday warm-up game between my Vacationland Tau and Dave's Subjugators... He assaulted my broken stealthsuits with a t-hawk loaded with tacs and a dread. Kinda lopsided, but ok stealthsuits can be annoying. But then he follows up with a an assault on my pathfinders with - wait for it - a landing craft loaded with predator destructors, devastators, and assault marines with a chaplain. I responded with "You ought to be ashamed of yourself, Dave." Gunslinger, in the understatement of the weekend, merely said "That's f*cked up dude." A good laugh was had by all.

Had great fun and the Void Spinners did their duty with lots of large ork targets in two games. It almost appeared Dave gave me the orks so i could use my barrage for two games to full effect. :). ,though it was pointed out on two occasions that the models I use for Heavy weapon platforms and support platforms are actually to be reversed. The small platform is the heavy weapons platform and the large platform is the support platform :(.

Your faces are egotesticles...

And there's nothing wrong with dropping 16 3+ dice and a MW on 200 points of Pathfinders.

Despite managing to win not a single game (although all were close), as usual it was an enjoyable tournament. We couldn't quite get 20 players, but 17 is really good turnout. I'm still wondering what the waitresses at Chili's truly thought of us.
