I was recently going through some of my old boxes and found my Space Marine army. Haven't played in over 10 years, but as soon as I saw the minis I got hooked again  I painted Rhinos back in the days  and scouts + Assault squad  I painted these in the last 3 weeks       I'm working on the bases, unfortunately I've used an old GW Purity Seal in the process and it muted the colours a bit. Models look a bit dusty. Land Speeders are next. |

Too nice to be sat in a draw for 10 years that's for sure! Love the highlights, can you give any advice on how to achieve that effect? |

Thanks for the thumbs up everyone … I'm not sure how to give advice on highlighting, might sound a bit weird … I think it's all about the brush strokes (angle) and the colour. I use Vallejo Model colours and mix white with water - around 40:60 (or 50:50 - you have to find the right density, not too thick and not too thin). The rest is in finding a good angle for your brush, that’s about it The vehicles only have three layers – very dark mixture of black&Turquoise then Turquoise and white highlights. Works well on such a small scale models. EDIT: and a tip for a brush - don't use a tip |
