Hi,

I believe I started a gallery just before Epicomms crashed... I can't find it anymore (despite using the Search function), so I'll start it all again.

I can't remember if I posted pics of my Deathwing Terminators, so here they are.

(blurry) Overview

Captain - simple conversion (sword and banner taken from a plastic SM captain)

Librarian - modular stand

Modular stand - step 2

Modular stand - step 3

EDIT: painting guide

Very, very easy and fast.

- White undercoat

- Desert Yellow coat

- Kommando Khaki drybrush
- Bleached Bone drybrush
- White drybrush (optional, and only on the top part of the models - gives a cleaner look)

Weapons
- Boltgun Metal
- Black wash
- Dark Angels Green

Breastplate
- Chaos Black (Burnished Gold for the characters)

The following pictures are definitely NOT for colour-blind people (or perhaps they are...).

Here come the Tzeentchian daemons. I still need to finish the stands, but I can't decide which colour to paint them in... Suggestions are welcome!

Flamers...

... more flamers...

... and a pack of Screamers.

Flashy colours, I know, but it's the best I can do to represent the ever-changing colours of Tzeentch. Not for me the subtle shadings, I'm more of a "heavy drybrush" type of guy! ?:D

I missed them the first time, so I am glad you posted them again.

Looks good to me!

I missed them too, the modular is a great idea and very nicely painted.
I LOVE your daemons, the colours are great and perfect for  'the boss',
When I first saw them I thought the 'Daemon world shifting' base was intentional.

They're very effective, though. ?And to carry on Justiniel's train of thought: I say leave the bases as they are, or glue on some sand and try to recreate the effect. :;):

Nice work Hojyn - VERY nice - I'd had a similar idea for my 40K Thousand Sons and flamers, and as I too am a believer in drybrush, I used shades of pink and blue (the horror colours) for the troops and vehicles. I entered a tourney and had low paint points because according to a GW rep 'they were not painted'...

Here's my Defiler from that army as proof :p  - it's facing a Legio Fausta Rhino here.

So - more, please!  :D

Thanks guys ! ?:D

@ Vanvlak : well, it certainly looks painted from where I stand. ?:) ?And it looks good too: your painting really gives the model an "out-of-this-world" look, like it's on the verge of fading back to the Warp. Props to you and boos and hisses to this GW guy!

Vanvlak: that's pretty nice.  I can't believe you got marked down for that.

Yup. I was. Too few colours, barely painted, etc.
Ah well. I'm past all that now. I was at one point tempted to redo the models, but I'm now glad I decided to keep the old scheme: I'm happy with it, so - if it works - don't fix it!

PS - that Defiler is one of my favourite GW models, but it didn't bring me much luck. On the way home when I bought it a cement truck wrecked the side of my car; it never hit anything; and it was (with its friends) considered unpainted. Still has a place of honour in the old model cabinet, though  :D
