I'm working on scratch building a Titan-sized Buzz saw/Circular saw. Has anyone done this with styrene/GS and have any advice on how to make this a reality? |

Since no one else has replied, I'll add my 2 cents. I never mount close combat weapons on Titans.[ or anything for that matter !] I always only mount heavy ranged weapons. I'm from the School of Tactical Reality. That if you kill the enemy at long range before they can come close to use such tools and chain saws, powerfists etc. ... you are making a much better tactical weapons choice. Remeber the bottom line is to kill as many as the enemy as possible, as soon as possible. It makes it easier to capture objectives with most of the enemy dead ... ![]() |

I'm assuming the main part to solve here is the circular saw blade itself. option 1: find a cog or gear of suitable size and use that (or use the wheel from some sort of perforating/baking wheel tool) option 2: cut a disc out of plasticard using a circle cutter, then cut teeth into that – if it's for orks you can probably just hack the teeth in, for imperial you'll need to mark it out with a concentric circle showing how far to cut in and radial lines option 3: the circular saws from the current 40k ork walkers are the perfect size, buy from bitz sites and stick onto an old warlord titan arm, like so: ![]() |

Thanks for the advice Apoc and the Tactical advice as well ![]() Yeah, I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to put teeth on a 7mm disc (couldn't manage to cut good profiles either). It was maddening. ![]() |

7mm diameter? that's pretty tiny, using very thin plasticard would help i suppose, or just look for a pre-made alternative (or gearing from a watch). |

I was pretty much going off the old WD article and 7MM seemed right ish, but I found the bitz you referred to! |

the one above is sized for warlords, it's on the big side but perfect for me, for khorne. if you want one for smaller titans or scout titans the buzzsaw from the old necromunda pit slaves is ideal, probably other alternatives by now: ![]() |

kromlech makes parts for sci-fi 28mm Orks, which can be used on stompas and small titans, but not the very large ones. |
