Afraid Wiltshire is a bit far for now but I will cheer you on. =) That basing rule is about infantry specifically. Vehicles don't have to be based. I think the idea of not basing vehicles is terrible because I spend so much time painting them I want them to be protected from being bashed on things but to each their own. |

I've been using Flames of War bases for ages and very very happy with them. You can see some in my painting blog. |

I use custom cut ply bases from Fenris games for most of my vehicles. Plenty of examples in my thread including heresy models. Generally just use what looks best and gives reasonable protection to the model. |

Hell yes! More imperial fists on these boards is always a good thing! Got a plan for painting them? I used army painter daemon yellow followed by a wash of AP strong tone, but others spray white and juice with diluted yellow If you want to give the list a run out sometime (link in my sig) pleae let me know what you thought ![]() |

If I hadn't been swept off my feet by the idea of Grey Knights and space wolves - I would have used the Daemon Yellow for some Lamenters, haha. |

Hey, I will be looking to use the imperial fist list! But I have never played and would like a list that I can use all my units in! Thanks for the tips on painting, is it worth getting a yellow spray or just hand paint? Thanks! |

personally I'd always go with the yellow primer, it saves you a step as if you prime white then you need to basecoat yellow, I'd recommend the army painter daemon yellow, just make sure you shake it for the full 90 seconds (or until your arm is about to fall off) I then brush on a coat of army painter strong tone quickshade, then bring the colour back up with GW flash gitz yellow (I paint a couple of layers on rather than drybrush) |
