Here you are Ole. The "greater Spire Warp Place Thing". I got in a bit of a rush to get it done for a game a while back, and then never used it. It doesn't photograph well. I'll probably see about rebuilding it one of these days and maybe try to make it a tad bigger. This was the first time it made it to the table top, and if I hadn't lost the initiative (6 to 1 roll, the only way Nids get the initiative over Sons), it might have done better. It broke on the 2nd turn taking 3 damage and 2 criticals, for a total of 6 blast markers... Somethings are meant to be.
Anyways, here it is...

Chris - one of these days I'll make it down to the Box again for a game. Love the buildings by the way. Finally getting around to putting paint on some of them. When are they going to be available at the Box? And yes, that was Rob. ;D

Just posted a report for the 2 turns we managed to play so that you may bask in the incompetence shown by the Thousand Sons.

http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=29344

Was most amusing going over it again. I think I hit most of the highlights, can't sweat the little things....

Thanks all. It's been a fun army to paint. I've got another unit of disk riders, a unit of terminators and a couple more units of Rubric marines still to go. Need a couple more land raiders, a few predators and it'll almost be finished. I have 9 towers, 3 greater spires and some flyers that need repainting and repairs done, but I don't know when I'll get back to them. Short attention span and other shiny things that distract me. Speaking of which, I decided to start a Red Corsairs army. I already have a Word Bearers chaos space marine army that is slowly being rebased from green flock to ash wastes. It's all older specialist games figures. Quite a while back I picked up some forum ware that I just never got around to building or painting. Here are a couple test figures.

While I shudder at doing so much red again, nothing else really jumps out at me and this way I can sub Word Bearer vehicles as needed. I really like the idea of all the Deamon Engines and Thunder hawks you can put in the build. This will also go a little way in denting the unpainted lead piles that have been accumulating so I can buy more.... it never ends.

Here is a few of the things that await the brush.

Here are a couple of the Deamon Engines that make the Red Corsairs so interesting. Now if I can just keep from dropping them...

This will be the 3 time glueing this fellow. Getting quite good at it now. Thank goodness there is only 2.

As opposed to the 5 of this fellow. Nice and quick to paint, but the build.... Only to be done after the children have gone to bed.

Also got my first Wasteland piece done.

Once I clear off some space on the desk and pick up some more black spray paint, it will be time for some new buildings. Only wish I had done what Nitpick did (as seen here) http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22988&start=225 and got more of one style instead of getting a little bit of everything... Oh well, being as Wasteland is a local company, maybe something will fall off the back of a truck.

Those Red Corsairs look great and they're exactly how I intended to paint my Blood Maws. I may change things now, though.
