Hello All. Been skulking around the forums for awhile now, in awe at all the talent here. Its a great place to get ideas and inspiration. I've only been playing since Epic Armageddon when an Outrider friend (its been awhile) introduced it to me while I was waiting on a Warhammer game at The Sentry Box here in Calgary. The same fellow got me into 40K, Gothic, Epic, and Man o War, so he's cost me a lot of money over the years. I don't play anything other than Epic and BFG anymore, and rarely even do that very often (work, family and life put paid to most free time I have, and most of that is wasted on computer games). Seeing as I get so few games in during a year, I find that I lack in the motivation department to actually paint much of anything. I promised myself I would paint some of the acquired miniature horde before purchasing anymore, and to that end I decided to do more than just skulk about here. Don't know how often I'll even post, truth be told, but I figure its worth a shot.

I paint mainly to play, so I try to find schemes that are quick. I recently started a 'Thousand Sons' list and since the miniatures are so well done, I took a break from quick and decided to at least put some effort in. Not 'Golden Deamon' effort, by any stretch of the imagination, but some, never the less. They where never meant to be sitting on a shelf to be admired, as if I have them, I want to play them.

Now, all I have left to do is actually take so half decent pictures, post them, and then figure out how to link them here.... Don't wait up for it....

Alright. Lets try this thing. Just to see if it works, or if I have to ask one of the kids how to post a picture... sigh.

That was easy... And no face lost in front of the kids. Win-win.

Well, slightly less than that to go. These are for my Ahriman's Chosen unit. Got them all painted up and 2 based. Yes I know I should be using 5 guys per base, but it looked so crowded, that I opted for 4.

This is for my Scarab Occult unit. I didn't have enough sorcerers to put 3 per base so I put 2 and opted for a Rubric marine. I haven't done the 5 marines yet, but its on the list. Though about just putting a thrall on instead, put I don't have anything suitable at the moment.

I've got enough painted now to field an army, but all the other pics I just took suck. Will try again later. It's amazing all the flaws the camera show. I'm not so impressed now that I've seen them. Maybe I just need to blur the pictures more.

Hopefully I get the pics attached here. Just trying to figure out what works...

Technically you should have half with 4 and half with 5 for your 9 man (walking suits) squads. ;D I did all my Death Guard as 3/4.

I did half my Thousand Sons with 4 to a base and half with five, to represent squads of 9:
