Hi!

I have been in the hobby for about 15 years now and got into Epic a few years ago. Haven't really gotten around to playing any Epic unfortunately as my gaming group has been splintered for the last few years. I have been meaning to start a log for quite some time, but the photography side of it has kept me back.

I'm notoriously bad at sticking to one army so this blog is gonna feature whatever strikes my fancy at the moment ;D

Anyhow...

Here's some Leman russes from Trolls under the Bridge, the scheme was meant to be a desert camo but I'm not sure I'm happy with it. The idea was to make an armored regiment modeled after the imperial forces in the Taros campaign. besides the fact I'm not quite happy with the scheme I'm also worried that having a desert camo Imperial force and a desert camo Tau force might become dull...

And now for something completely different, Here's the beginning of a Hawk Lords space marine force. One of my first "proper" epic projects that has been on ice for some while. I have a half painted Thunderhawk almost ready for these boys but I having some trouble deciding on the colour scheme for it.

If anyone has any tips on how to improve my photography I'm all ears. These photos were taken in a cheap photobox my girlfriend got recently and even having three lamps blasting it the photos came out too dark for my taste! :{[]

Looking nice! If you're worried about the tanks not having enough je ne se qua, you can also cameo them. Try adding some panzer stripes or cameo patches to them. By playing with the patterns or colors you can easily add distinction between formations while still maintaining a coherent look.

PS awesomeness on the Hawk Lords. Now you just need to kitbash some hawk wings! :)

I had actually considered doing some camo but I wasn't sure about it. Gave it a try on this this test model and I´m surprised on how much I ended up liking it ;D

Also here is the previously mentioned T-hawk, needs some gold/yellow, I just cant decide where!

Could put stripes on the wings maybe?

One around the body would be ace, angled a bit forward. Actually a thick one with a thin one would be better. Depends on how comfortable you are working with tape.
