Anyway, the rest of the Blight Drones are mostly assembled now, due to a delivery from one of those bits sites... I still need to add spindles to the undersides of the fans and some gloop to the three new ones. This shot shows the newer construction method for attaching the fans: Here's the bits haul. Eight fans (four of them already used on the Drones) plus a few Blightking bits. I'm thinking of using the big bell as part of a Plague Tower scratch-build, a little like a Skaven Screaming Bell. |

Ah yes I had exactly the same idea for the blight king bells! I was thinking, I'm never going to get it perfect, but a plague tower of sorts could be kitbashed with some ruin sprue on top of a super heavy chassis, perhaps with Warhammer Ogre faces on the front? |

This one got some paint today, having been undercoated a couple of weeks ago. The main base colour was a watered down mix of CdA Dwarven Bronze and VMC Smoke. Followed (once thoroughly dry) by a thick wash of VMC Smoke, CdA Chestnut Wash, old Citadel Brown Ink and a tiny smidgin of dark green to take away the warmth. Here's the wash halfway through being applied, I mixed a bit of black in when doing the engines: Once the wash was thoroughly dry the bronzy areas got a light drybrush of old GW bronze and then some judicious application of GW's verdigris paint, something-or-other Oxide. Assorted details were picked out, including red, blue and green running lights. I'm happy. |

I hadn't really been planning to do these yet, but Steve54's Death Guard list prompted me... GRIBBLY TERMINATORS! Deathshrouds including a Lord character: Grave Wardens (with daemonic assistance), the pipes on the back of the 'normal' Terminator are to represent a Destroyer Hive: Grave Wardens 2: The remaining fourth stand, Deathshrouds including Mr. Tentacle Head: All ready for base landscaping and texturing... |

Ta! They were fiddly but fun - and largely inspired by having only one stand of actual Chaos Terminators so they had to be 'stretched' a little... P.S. And Warmaster bases to make them look more imposing. |

I may have accidentally built a Plague Tower last night... Bulk 'sketch' using LEGO: LEGO used to work out sizes for the side silhouette plus a trace around the final piece: Mostly-assembled Plague Tower. I still need to sort out a mount for the bell and add gloop swirls to the tank on top. |
