Looking great! Like you, I'm sure about the mechanical arms on the Warhounds though.

Cool thread and conversions :)

Ilyad Chaos Goblins...Scale-wise they're a bit awkward as they're slightly small to be Warhound-equivalents but a bit big to be Defilers.

They would be fine to be Defiler proxies, they're actually a bit on the small side for them (see here for a comparison of the models most people use which are roughly scaled from the 40k models).

The Plaguehound does look a bit on the small side though. With your Defilers based on the rounded off rectangle bases I would suggest re-basing the Plaguehound onto the same size round base as the Warhound, for consistency and so it's more obvious for opponents to figure out what is what.

Ah, I think the bases may be misleading you a little.

I have an old Warhound on a 40mm round base.
The four existing Plaguehound conversions are on 50x25mm pill bases which are larger than a 40mm round base both in longest dimension and area. Nothing else in the list uses pill bases. Here's three of the Plaguehounds next to the Warhound, with a pair of Epic40k Shadowsword conversions looking too big in the foreground due to perspective.

The Defilers are all on 25mm round discs but overflow in all directions, are mostly taller than most Defiler proxies I've seen and thanks to the tentacles look bigger on the tabletop than the ones in the linked photo - the widest is around 55mm from tip to tip.

Hi!

Nothing says Nurgle better than that green hue. :)

The Ilyad Goblin conversions will go on the back burner for now, until I've had time to think of something really good. It's not like I need more Defilers or Plaguehounds just yet.

The remaining very fine chain needed cleaning of superglue so sat in water for most of a week. That just gave me enough to do the last Spawn, herded by twin Beastmen. Or at least it would have if I hadn't cut one of the pieces too short by one link, so the left herder has a more strongly bent elbow than the other one...

I also drilled and magnetised enough bases for the rest of the Plaguebearers, although the models themselves still need plenty of cleaning up.

Indeed!

Some more possible models for the second Plague Zombie Infestation, or for Zombies caused by Plagueship barrages:

Although an Infestation of giant 'small' rats could be amusing:

This is certainly the most inventive brightly coloured nurgle army I've ever seen for sure, very inventive.

Wonderful paintjob and conversion! And this kind of green is very evil.

So are the nurglings all going to represent plague zombies?

I don't really like the Exodus Wars 6mm zombies and was wondering about other possibilities.
