Super thematic! Like that color test with the airbrush above. A tip would be to preshade that puppy around the Nurgle tri-circle symbol and by the leading armour plate before application of the greenish/yellow color ( s ). Something suitable would be a nice brown, perhaps Vallejo Air NATO brown.

Looks like bath is a no for me unfortunately - but looking forward to seeing these on a table soon!

I didn't use preshading on this one, but the overshading was translucent enough to have a similar end result.

Blip - I'm not at Bath either, got double-booked with an Infinity tournament in Bristol on the same day! Try and make it down to Exeter for Legionary at the end of April, I might persuade the club to put on an Epic display game.

Moredakka - ta!

Ah, end of April should work - I can call it a birthday treat! :-)

Hoping to make it to Cardiff, but it's touch and go at the moment...

A bit more work on the huge Plague Tower proxy. I decided to go overboard with magnets, and added 18 2mm ones in two arcs of nine along the back edge - when used as the custom unit up-thread, these can be used to show up to nine DC of damage and up to nine Blast markers.

Marked out in white:

Drilled and magnets added:

The underside, showing a bunch of 5mm magnets as the main ones to hold it in place during transport, plus some more 2mm ones at the front for Void Shield/Power Field markers:

A view of the rear with orange Blast Markers and magnetised skulls for remaining DC.

And an in-game shot showing the start of the fortifications on top:

More recently, a need for Nurglings for the NetEA Death Guard list has meant that the Nurgling bases I've been using as Plague Zombies need to be replaced with other models. These five take me up to the maximum 15 units that can appear. I'm particularly happy with the 'plague of frog', who will be painted up as a highly poisonous Amazonian Tree Frog.

In that last photo you can also see a pair of rats on a 30mm plastic base (and a pile of unpainted green bases), that's the start of Plague Zombie Infestation number two, enabling me to run two formations, or one formation and a NetEA Plagueship.

On the subject of bases, I ordered a bunch of different sizes from Renedra, and am considering basing the rest of my vehicles, including the Plaguereapers. However they'll have to be on 50mm discs for the basing to add any protection to the models:

I've not seen anyone else putting Baneblade equivalents on bases this big - thoughts from anyone?

This Saturday saw a 10k vs 10k Armageddon game which helped spur another batch of painting:

Great work Ian. I tend to use middle sizes FoW bases for my Baneblade sized super heavies. Enough space to get the model on with a small amount of basing, but not too large that the base becomes an issue in games.

I love the colors you choose Ian.

But they are overall a bit to clean to work for Nurgle, don't you think?
