Post subject:  Tau and Tyranids, or back to Epic
Late last year I bought some Forgeworld Tau aircraft, initially just for nostalgia's sake. I haven't played Epic in years, but the nice miniatures got me interested again. Now I'm planning at least two armies, Tau and Tyranids, with a variety of proxies and kit-bashes to serve as models.

Very nice work! I like how cleanly you got the warrior body to transition to the gargoyle body and tail.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

For the bits, I used gaunt heads (with a bit cut off the back to achieve a no-neck look), gaunt scything talons, warrior torsos, gargoyle tails, and Dark Eldar ravager wings. Gargoyle wings will probably work just as well, but I thought the slightly larger ravager wings are more proportionate, plus I had some lying around.

I built some bio-titans and trygons, also with 40k bits. Now I just have to start painting...
